Entertainment and Food at the
Waterford
Homes Tour & Crafts Exhibit
October 5, 6 & 7, 2012
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Love music? During
the Fair there is music everywhere—string bands, troubadours,
barbershop quartet, gospel, classical, folk, traditional. A schedule
of the performers and times is shown below. The Fair Booklet (available
at the ticket booths when you arrive) contains a map showing performance
locations..
Worried about secession?
In 1861, Waterford hovered on the burning edge of the Union-Confederate divide. You’ll discover at the Fair what villagers said and did in 1861, as the nation slipped into civil war. This living history display will include musters, parades, skirmishes, a wreath laying at the Union Cemetery, and demonstrations of drill and weapons firing. See the entertainment schedule for more information.
Hungry? Food for every palate: barbeque ribs and pulled pork, vegetable wraps, artisanal sheep cheeses, homemade sodas, ice cream, kettle corn and freshly squeezed lemonade are just a few of the possibilities. And jams, apple butter, and soup mixes to take home. The map in the Fair Booklet (available at the gate when you arrive) will show you where food vendors are located.
