DESCRIPTION:Join us for our final program in the 2024 lyceum series- which will be about Waterford’s own\, and one of Loudoun’s most famous former residents…Arthur Godfrey! \nA short video will set the stage with period film footage narrated by Godfrey himself followed by candid interviews and behind the scenes stories from his daughter Patti Godfrey Schmidt\, and two granddaughters- Laura Dunlop and Mary Amons. The program will be moderated by longtime former Waterford resident\, Tom Edmonds. \nPlease join us for a great final program of 2024 and help us bring Arthur Godfrey’s story “home” to Waterford…elephants\, giraffes\, zebras\, and all! \n____________________________________________________________________________________________ \nDate: Sunday\, November 3rd \nTime: 3pm \nLocation: Waterford Old School (40222 Fairfax Street\, Waterford VA 20197) \n____________________________________________________________________________________________ \nBackground on the panelists: \n\nPatti Godfrey Schmidt\, Godfrey’s daughter\, was a nurse for over 30 years and lived between New York City and Beacon Hill while growing up.\nMary Amons is an award-winning interior designer on high profile projects including Washington D.C. embassies and the Willard Hotel.\nLaura Dunlop is herself a veteran of stage\, TV\, and radio.
