Invasives Cleanup on Phillips Farm

As things are starting to grow once again on the Phillips Farm, we are noticing the return of Mile-a-Minute Vine. Since there are no berries on the plant, now is the best time to safely start pulling the plants for the season.

This Sunday (June 9th) from 2-4pm, Open Spaces volunteers have scheduled a cleanup time. Please join us, we need all the help we can get! The gathering point is at the Schooley Mill entrance to the Phillips Farm. The easiest place to park nearby is by the Second Street School (15611 Second Street, Waterford VA 20197).

If you need service hours, this is a great opportunity The Waterford Foundation Historic Preservation Director will be there to sign off on service hours.
