Students will make and assemble a wooden mallet from rough sawn oak and poplar using traditional hand tools. The class focuses on core woodworking skills including measuring and marking, handplaning, cutting mortise and tenon joints, and shaping a handle.

Create a cheerful messenger-style basket with colorful rainbow lacing across the front. Inspired by an Appalachian Backpack but in a smaller, versatile size, this functional design comes with straps and hardware. Finish the lid at home with the included instructions.
