Learn the art of ecoprinting on silk and wool by imprinting botanical images using natural leaves, plants, and flowers. Students will create two ecoprinted scarves and gain the skills to continue this sustainable art form at home.
This class explores warp-weighted weaving from the Viking Age, covering its history, regional techniques, and examples. Students will have hands-on time to create their own woven sample, which could be used as a scarf or table runner. A follow-up class, "The Warp Weighted Loom: The Next Steps," will be offered in June.
